The Water’s Edge chartered as a United Methodist Church in January, 2012.
The church is comprised of dozens of small groups that meet throughout the city. These groups eat, play, pray, serve, and grow together.
WE emphasize serving the poor in Omaha, the United States, and throughout the world. WE have collected over 125,000 pounds of food for people in Omaha. WE are grateful for our ministry partners: Together Omaha, The Hope Center for Kids, and Release Ministries. This summer, ninety middle and high school students will be giving nine days of their summer to serve people in West Virginia and Minnesota. Over thirty people will serve in Belize and Uganda in 2016. The Water’s Edge will give tens of thousands of dollars to those causes.
WE gather weekly for worship and kids ministry on Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:30 at Millard West High School. We sing, pray, laugh, listen, hang out, and experience God. Our middle and high school students gather on Wednesday evenings at Beadle Middle School and people’s homes throughout West Omaha.
In 2017, The Water’s Edge will begin the next chapter of our history as WE build and move into our first building. This seven million dollar project is another investment in Omaha. WE are looking forward to sharing this facility with our community.
Visit our web site for more details. You will find lots of information and helpful resources. Better yet, visit us in person on a Sunday morning. You will find people just like you who will welcome you and genuinely care about you.
