Here is this morning’s sermon at The Water’s Edge. I kicked off our new series, Wonderlife, with a message about each of us mattering to God. And if you matter to God-you matter! This sermon was delivered during our annual lot party, so I talked about the history, present, and future of the church. I also talked about the events from fifteen years ago–the attacks on New York City and Washington D.C. At the end of that day I concluded:
I knew there was still more good than bad in the world,
that God was still stronger than the forces of evil,
and that people need Jesus more than ever because he makes our lives better and forever.
I’ll call nobodies and make them somebodies.
I’ll call the unloved and make them loved. –Romans 9:25
